This event is organized by Topic Energy & Utilities in collaboration with AERO - Associazione delle Energie Rinnovabili Offshore
The offshore wind sector in Italy has gained a lot of interest in recent years, making the country one of the most promising markets worldwide, particularly concerning floating foundation technology. Nonetheless, many developers now need to make their plans more resilient in light of ongoing inflation, which is putting a strain on supply chains and increasing financing. The consequences, such as higher turbine costs and a not negligible rise in interest rates, are particularly challenging for these initiatives due to the high upfront investments.
During the event, after a brief introduction on the current macroeconomic headwinds for the entire energy industry, in the format of a round table with business experts, there will be a brief discussion on the effective risks for the Italian offshore wind market opportunities and the actions needed to ensure the long-term benefits around climate, health, economic investment, and energy price stability.
